Milestone Release RC

(we've been inconsistent about doing this one)

Camino 2.0b1 RC, please test [do not post to update sites]

We have the first (and hopefully only) release candidate build for Camino 2.0b1 ready now. Please help us test this build and report any problems (particularly any reproducible crashes or regressions from 2.0a1) that you find.

Thanks for your help!

Milestone Release

(the main text matches the blog post; sometimes there is an additional leading swupdate admonition, if we have a new pull that needs testing [see page history])

Camino 2.1a1 released! [do not post to update sites]

After over a year of hard work following the release of Camino 2, the Camino Project is proud to announce the first preview release of Camino 2.1.

For more information and to download, please visit our preview site (users of nightly builds will be notified of the new preview release by software update and can install the new preview release by choosing Check for Updates… from the Camino menu).

This version contains many new features, including a scrollable tab bar, automatic software update for release builds, easy management and customization of the toolbar search field, improved AppleScript support, Keychain support for multiple accounts, and more.

All Camino users on Mac OS X 10.3.9 and higher should update to this version. Users of Camino 1.6b4 should be notified of the new version via software update.

Security Update Release RC

Camino 1.6.1 coming soon; testing wanted [do not announce]

We have the first (and hopefully only) release candidate for Camino 1.6.1 available now. We'd appreciate it if most of you would give it a whirl for the next few days to make sure that everything is OK.

If you notice any regressions from 1.6 (not from trunk nightlies, but from 1.6), please let us know ASAP; similarly, if you find any serious bugs.

Thanks for your help!
