[12:01pm] ardissone: smorgan: are we expecting pink?
[12:02pm] smorgan: not sure
[12:02pm] ardissone: hrm
[12:08pm] ardissone: well, i guess let's get started
[12:08pm] ardissone: everyone please open your 2.0b2 or newer to http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/Status_Meetings:2009-03-18:Agenda
[12:09pm] ardissone: on the 2.0b2 front
[12:09pm] ardissone: we're getting new crashes at more then 2x the rate of b1
[12:10pm] ardissone: but we have probably 4x the users as b1 did
[12:10pm] ardissone: (at least month 2 on)
[12:11pm] ardissone: nothing terribly interesting in there again this week
[12:11pm] ardissone: Flash is still #1, which is good
[12:12pm] ardissone: http://talkback-public.mozilla.org/search/start.jsp?search=2&type=iid&id=53502037 was odd, but i assume showing the alert while the plugin crashed was just coincidence
[12:13pm] ardissone: anyone have anything else on 2.0b2?
[12:15pm] ardissone: nothing really to say about 1.6.6, except it's having its 13-wk birthday
[12:15pm] ardissone: 1.6.7
[12:15pm] ardissone: we're waiting on pink sr for two bugs still
[12:16pm] ardissone: (in addition to him confirming that the default browser patch does, in fact, work)
[12:17pm] ardissone: 2 l10n bugs were discovered last week (after 9 mos), and they've both been fixed
[12:17pm] ardissone: i'd like to be able to spin the build this week, but someone will have to spring pink
[12:18pm] ardissone: anyone else have anything else on 1.6.x?
[12:19pm] ardissone: Summer of Code
[12:19pm] ardissone: we had a chat in the channel last Wed afternoon
[12:19pm] ardissone: pink was going to blog about collecting ideas and students
[12:20pm] ardissone: http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/Development:Good_Bugs_and_Projects is all set up to receive ideas
[12:20pm] ardissone: i added our two from last year and the one we talked about last Wed in channel
[12:20pm] ardissone: but we really need pink to blog
[12:21pm] ardissone: we also need to do something to make sure people know we're out there
[12:21pm] ardissone: also
[12:21pm] ardissone: student applications begin Monday
[12:22pm] ardissone: anyone have anything else about SoC?
[12:24pm] ardissone: 2.0
[12:24pm] ardissone: unfortunately
[12:25pm] ardissone: we've been under-reporting the number of bugs with l10n issues
[12:25pm] ardissone: because i forgot to update the query when the freeze moved milestones
[12:26pm] ardissone: so we have 17 bugs that are either 2.0-targeted, 2.0-blocking+/?, or b3-blocking+/? with l10n impact
[12:27pm] cl joined the chat room.
[12:27pm] ardissone: many of them are in anti-phishing, so let's segue right into updates with murph
[12:27pm] cl was promoted to operator by you.
[12:27pm] murph: I'm currently updating both the transient bar and tab drag performance patches as we speak...
[12:28pm] murph: I'll have the latest fixes into the bar patch first, that should be done shortly
[12:28pm] ardissone:
[12:29pm] ardissone: that leads the way into the actual "i'm browsing the dangerous website anyway" bar, right?
[12:30pm] murph: oh yeah, that's the foundation for it, and it's simple to make any new bar in the future after it
[12:31pm] ardissone: and after that, the major UI work is only exposing the reporting functions, right?
[12:32pm] murph: yes I'm pretty sure that's it!
[12:32pm] ardissone:
[12:32pm] ardissone: other back-end stuff, but the UI will be done, which is good
[12:32pm] ardissone: i saw jeff in the channel earlier, so let's see if he's around
[12:33pm] ardissone: jeff: Mr NSControl?
[12:34pm] ardissone: guessing no
[12:34pm] ardissone: smorgan: any breakpad news?
[12:35pm] smorgan: I'm working on stripping down the toolkit reporter app and rebuilding it as a more streamlined native UI
[12:35pm] smorgan: I just haven't had much time
[12:36pm] ardissone:
[12:37pm] ardissone: hendy's quit message indicated he'll probably be back at the end of the week
[12:37pm] ardissone: he has two patches looking for review
[12:37pm] ardissone: the Flashblock whitelist
[12:38pm] ardissone: and support for AppleScript access to {page|selection} {source|text}
[12:38pm] ardissone: i think cl agreed to look at them end-of-the-week if no one else is excited to review them
[12:39pm] ardissone: and peeja will look over the sdef
[12:39pm] cl: yeah, I can try to get to them soon-ish
[12:39pm] cl: i'm at work now, gonna be pretty busy over the next few days
[12:39pm] cl: but i may have enough time tomorrow or possibly Friday
[12:39pm] ardissone: what with the whole flying airplanes bit
[12:40pm] ardissone: erm
[12:40pm] ardissone: did i invite ilya?
[12:40pm] cl: apparently not?
[12:40pm] ardissone:
[12:40pm] ardissone: cl: anything else to report on your end?
[12:41pm] cl: not that i can think of at the moment
[12:41pm] ardissone: how's that dl pref alignment stuff coming?
[12:41pm] cl: but i'm only halfway payig attention anyway
[12:41pm] ardissone: ilya has a patch to fix the regression from his last patch
[12:42pm] ardissone: (it causes new dls to be added to the top of the list sometimes)
[12:42pm] cl: oh, the dl pref stuff is done, just needs a comment to be fixed, but I was wanting to figure out whether we should just go ahead and make a new nib or not
[12:42pm] cl: I don't have access to make a new nib at the moment, given that we don't want nibs saved on 10.5.
[12:42pm] ardissone: making a new nib makes the code cleaner/saner, righy?
[12:42pm] cl: yes.
[12:43pm] ardissone: we really should, then
[12:43pm] cl: can someone else make the nib? I won't be able to until at least the weekend.
[12:44pm] ardissone: won't you have to redo the code anyway?
[12:44pm] ardissone: i.e., sounds like it could just wait til the weekend
[12:44pm] cl: yeah, but i can redo the code on the road in like five minutes
[12:45pm] ardissone: i guess we'll see if a new nib appears ;)
[12:45pm] cl: haha
[12:46pm] ardissone: anyone else have anything about 2.0?
[12:49pm] ardissone: on tinderwoes news
[12:49pm] ardissone: sam had to take h-103 offline because it got some sort of cvs disease
[12:49pm] ardissone: boxset is still missing from tinderbox
[12:49pm] ardissone: et cetera, et cetera, ad nasuseam
[12:50pm] ardissone: anyone have anything else at all?
[12:52pm] ardissone: ok
[12:53pm] ardissone: we didn't have a lot of action over the past week in terms of fixes or shrinking queues
[12:53pm] ardissone: otoh, we did get a number of new patches :)
[12:54pm] ardissone: so all is not lost
[12:54pm] ardissone: everyone have a good week, and work on those 2.0b3/l10n bugs, patches, and reviews ;)
