16:01 ardissone: brb
16:07 ardissone: well, let's get started
16:08 ardissone: not sure where hendy really is :)
16:08 ardissone: http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/Status_Meetings:2010-05-12:Agenda
16:09 ardissone: we had a large increase in the total number of crashes (and a corresponding small decrease in the % of crashes covered by the topcrasher report)
16:09 ardissone: the top two, Flash and the (fixed-everywhere-but-2.0.2) docshell crash declined
16:10 ardissone: the various sendEvent crashes increased, as did our 10.4.11-exception-related crashes
16:10 ardissone: new to the top10 this week is a 10.4.11 ATSUI crash triggered by Flash
16:11 ardissone: also, i feel like we've talked about this before
16:11 pinkerton: nice!
16:12 ardissone: but there was a spate of crashes this week in -[NSKeyedUnarchiver initForReadingWithData:] unarchiving site icons on startup
16:12 ardissone: there's not any way we can prevent that, is there?
16:12 ardissone: we had bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394772 before, which were exceptions unarchiving
16:12 smorgan: Not without moving it OOP
16:13 ardissone: hehe
16:13 ardissone: OK
16:13 ardissone: these are on 10.6.3
16:13 ardissone: so i suppose if we happened to be able to reproduce, it would be worthwhile to rdar:// it
16:14 ardissone: but there were no emails associated with the reports
16:14 smorgan: We could try anyway and see if they can work from the crash reports
16:14 smorgan: I'll do that soon
16:14 ardissone: k
16:15 ardissone: i'll file a bug so we can have somewhere to track it
16:15 ardissone: and store awesome urls like https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?product=Camino&version=Camino%3A2.0.2&build_id=&query_search=signature&query_type=exact&query=-[NSKeyedUnarchiver%20initForReadingWithData%3A]&date=&range_value=1&range_unit=weeks&process_type=all&plugin_field=&plugin_query_type=&plugin_query=&do_query=1&signature=-[NSKeyedUnarchiver%20initForReadingWithData%3A]&missing_sig=&page=1 :P
16:15 ardissone: anything else on 2.0.2?
16:16 ardissone: or we could hang it off of bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=535948
16:17 ardissone: but i think that bug was corrupt nibs
16:17 ardissone: on 10.4
16:17 ardissone: yeah, i'll file a new bug
16:18 ardissone: on the 1.6.x front, all I can say is that Sam was working on stats over the weekend
16:18 » hendy joined the chat room.
16:18 ardissone: because he asked me what we should do about our large (10s of Ks) installs that ping irregularly
16:18 ardissone: :P
16:18 » hendy was promoted to operator by ardissone.
16:19 ardissone: anyone else on 1.6.x? :P
16:19 ardissone: 2.0.3
16:19 ardissone: pinkerton: any ETA on sring smorgan's metadata rewrite?
16:20 pinkerton: i can do it shortly, i guess.
16:20 ardissone: awesome :)
16:21 ardissone: we'll get that in, i'll work up relnotes, and aim for a release later next week probably
16:21 ardissone: hendy: any news from you on flashblock?
16:21 hendy: no, sorry. :(
16:21 ardissone: k
16:22 ardissone: i think i sort-of figured out the whole "reset camino doesn't reset Recently Closed Pages"
16:22 ardissone: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=529500
16:23 ardissone: at least *a* way to trigger it
16:23 smorgan: I'll try to look this weekend
16:23 ardissone: (by not opening History menu since last Reset)
16:23 ardissone: thanks :)
16:24 ardissone: anything else on 2.0.3?
16:25 ardissone: on 2.1 stuff
16:25 ardissone: smorgan: did you get my mail about the key event propagation stuff?
16:26 pinkerton: wow, 1200 bookmarks
16:26 smorgan: yes, sorry

16:27 » Wevah was promoted to operator by ardissone.
16:27 ardissone: someone finally filed the 1.9.2 version of "delete doesn't work"
16:27 ardissone: :P
16:28 smorgan: I'll talk to josh soon
16:28 ardissone: thanks :)
16:30 ardissone: basically that and "content can consume all keystrokes" are the only major "fixed in Gecko for Camino before" bugs that we've lost
16:30 ardissone: since the sendEvent swizzling is gone
16:31 ardissone: i don't know if we can convince Core to take that "don't let js eat everything" patch again :P
16:32 ardissone: josh seemed vehemently opposed before
16:32 pinkerton: sr done
16:32 smorgan: But we're also already hosed for 1.9.2 being fixed :P
16:32 ardissone: :P
16:32 ardissone: pinkerton: ty :)
16:34 ardissone: in terms of getting a 2.1 alpha out (since I just had to change the cutoff date for 2.1a1pre crash reports again :P )
16:35 ardissone: autocomplete really is still too slow
16:35 ardissone: we still need to fix that before we can have something even off of 1.9.0
16:36 ardissone: hopefully dan will be getting done with school soon and will have some time?
16:36 ardissone: smorgan: you haven't heard from him by chance, have you?
16:36 smorgan: nope
16:36 ardissone: OK
16:36 ardissone: i'll put a ping on my list, then
16:38 ardissone: i've been jumping back and forth between things (and building fences on the weekend), so nothing solid on 1.9.2 from me
16:39 ardissone: anyone have anything else on 2.1 or 1.9.2?
16:42 ardissone: On the plus side, our review queues are in really good shape ;)
16:42 ardissone: on the minus side, there haven't been that many patches
16:43 ardissone: but at least the smaller ones, when they arrive, have gone through the queue pretty quickly :)
16:44 ardissone: anyone have anything on anything else today?
16:45 ardissone: OK then
16:46 ardissone: everyone work on those 2.1/1.9.2 bugs and tasks, and have a good week :)
