General

  • Command 1..9 are now shortcuts for the first 9 bookmarks on the bookmarks bar.
  • Added a preference option to force new windows in new tabs.
  • Improved the tabbing cycle in bookmarks/history.
  • The bookmarks search textfield now gets initial focus, for quick searching.
  • Renamed the column of the left pane from 'Groups' to 'Collections'.
  • Camino now handles .ftploc files.
  • Menu separators in bookmarks are no longer focusable.
  • Close tab buttons now give mouse hover feedback.
  • Now view an image in New Tab/Window (use Tabbed Browsing preference semantics).
  • New pop-up blocking indicator.
  • Cookie exceptions list and sheet now have options for session cookies.
  • Local SVG files can now be selected with File:Open.
  • Double-clicking on a tab group in Bookmarks Manager now opens the bookmarks.
  • Command-click on a bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar now respects the shift key toggle.
  • Camino now properly imports .p12-certificates.
  • Removed the popup blocking indicator from the status bar, and display it inline in the browser wrapper instead.
    • We now have a "Unblock" and "Configure" button in the easily excessible.
  • Ad blocking has been further improved.
  • Several unused files have been removed from the application.
  • "Copy Address" on mailto: link with multiple addresses now captures all addresses.
  • The "Send Link" menu item now sends URLs in angle brackets.
  • The Esc key can now be used to cancel operations in the content area when the page is not loading (e.g., FAYT, certain advanced bookmarklets).
  • Single click on Search the field now only enters a caret and doesn't select all text.
  • The toobar Search field is now resizable.
  • The toobar Search field can now be collapsed.
  • Added the ability to use selected text and search that word on the web using the contexctual menu.
  • Option-return or Option-enter in location bar now downloads the entered url.
  • Camino can now be build to be portable, enabling you to run Camino from a memory stick.
  • The downloads window is now always brought to the front when a download starts.

  • Camino now respects the Gecko preferences for setting the backspace key behaviour.
