When preparing for a release, the following things need to be done (this list will probably need to be arranged in an "order" as appropriate):

  1. Create release notes on wiki
  2. Create release notes RTF
  3. File bug with final release notes in it (get review and checkin)
  4. Email Ludo with final release notes
  5. Create release notes on website
  6. Update htaccess file so that /releases/latest points to the new relnotes
  7. Get release version into Bouncer (pending final release file)
  8. Create download links (/download/releases/VERSION# and /download/releases/VERSION#-MultiLang)
  9. Create new "news" notification (remember atom file)
  10. Update main page version number(s)
  11. Update agentdetect scripts
  12. Make sure everything in CVS is correct
  13. Email yama with a list of changes so jp.cb.o can be updated in time
