You have been directed to this page because Camino has detected that your bookmarks file was corrupted. This is a rare but unfortunate problem which some users are experiencing. Camino has restored your bookmarks file from the last working backup, so any data loss should be minimal. Regardless, the Camino team views this as a serious problem and is working diligently to fix it.

You can provide some data that will help the Camino team discover the cause of the bookmarks corruption.

  1. Open the Console application (in /Application/Utilities)
  2. Open the Console.log (if it is not already open) by choosing Open Console Log from the File menu
  3. In the "Filter" (search) field of the Console.log window, type Camino
  4. Look for log messages generated by Camino from around the date and time of this launch of Camino and from around the date and time you last quit Camino. There may be several messages from Camino around each date and time; all of the Camino log entries from those times will be useful to the Camino team. A sample message will look similar to this:
    2007-01-03 23:35:59.343 Camino[16083] Bookmarks file '/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Camino/bookmarks.plist' is 1051212 bytes on shutdown
  5. Email Camino Feedback with these log messages. Also include your Mac OS X version and the version of Camino you are running (from About Camino in the Camino menu). Also, please mention if you have installed any third-party add-ons for Camino.

The Camino team thanks you for your time and sincerely appreciates your assistance in resolving this issue.
