      • murph has patch for search editor (in smorgan's queue) and has mostly wrangled OpenSearch

    • Take 3 date is October 24th (that's today!) - status?
    • smorgan is doing software update (see below)
    • mento is doing breakpad (probably not for a1?)
    • nominate any major/dataloss bugs that need to be fixed for a1
    • please help out with any P1s (see query below)
  • Camino 1.5.2/Camino 1.5.3
    • Released last Fri (Oct 19)
    • 1.5.3/Gecko 1.8.1.9 coming soon to fix serious Gecko regressions
    • Landed fixes for two bugs that needed xpt pickups (but only for 1_5 yet)
    • Will try to pick up some l10n fixes/new languages for 1.5.3
    • Gecko 1.8.1.9 release expected Thurs (Nov 1)
    • Talkback
      • 14 of 19 libobjc crashes are 1passwd; only 3 have email listed, but we'll mail them
      • Flash is #1, libGL (#6) is DiVX, libSystemB (#4, #7) is plugin-related
      • Crash on quit ("pass-the-buck" Core Bug 349463) is #2 (bsmedberg has a trunk patch!)
      • nsDocumentObserverList::RemoveElement - Bug 395916 (Smokey emailed the two we have an email for, asking for Camino Diagnostics and more info; no replies so far, and #9 in 1.5.2)
      • Topcrashes in 1) DesktopServicesPriv and 2) random hex + Spotlight + DesktopServicesPriv latter not showing yet
      • 1.5.1 leftovers
    • Still cleaning up stuff from the website switch; file bugs against Product Site if you see anything
  • Tinderboxen
    • binus is hanging on grey Apple while booting :( (binus is doing 1.5.x coverage and is our 10.3 test box)
    • cb-x1 will continue running 1.8.0 "for a little while"
  • Weekly Bugs and Queues update
    • You know the r-drill.

Specific bugs that need action

1.6a1pre

  • Bug 185436 - Software update for release builds
    • Tree approval granted - Bug 399977 (will also need to file a about:license change bug)
      • XXXsa about:license should be enough that we don't need it separately in the readme; other MIT licenses (e.g. JEP) are only there
    • objdir support
    • framework copy issue
    • localization - will need to work something out to not build l10ns in en-only but get them to l10n teams so they don't have to re-localize
    • EULA - see [1] for a possible method/hack
    • cl found a crash bug in sparkle :p
      • [12:14am] cl: it's crashing in checkForUpdatesAndNotify: when you cancel an active download, then initiate two update checks rapidly in succession
[12:15am] cl: and the stack trace shows the crash in Sparkle code, which leads me to believe it isn't a problem in the app itself.
  • AppleScript landing follow-up bugs - several of these need to be addressed for 1.6
    • Bug 394821: AS snippet is behaving correctly (according to applescript), but can delete bookmark folders unexpectedly. Do we need to workaround somehow? Should we release an AS guide with 1.6?

1.5.3

  • Coming soon to fix Gecko regressions

Other (if there's time)

  • Web feed handlers - Bug 355748
    • Do we want to consider shipping mini-apps for 1.5.x or 1.6? Have some working AS examples.
  • UNCOs
    • Bug 376930 - Overflow tab menu covers whole upper right part of my screen
      • Need to find a way to "promote" this as an area we'd like user feedback on in 1.6a1
  • Need to keep an eye on trunk regressions, determine if they're Camino-only or partly/wholly Core, and consider requesting blocking1.9? for the latter set.
