[12:08pm] ardissone: waiting on our GOOGs
[12:09pm] smorgan joined the chat room.
[12:09pm] smorgan was promoted to operator by you.
[12:09pm] ardissone: smorgan: any pink or mento expected?
[12:09pm] smorgan: dunno, sorry
[12:09pm] ardissone: k
[12:10pm] ardissone: we'll get started in just a sec, then
[12:12pm] ardissone: ok
[12:13pm] ardissone: everyone open your 2.0b1 or newer to http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/Status_Meetings:2009-02-04:Agenda
[12:13pm] ardissone: nothing terribly new and exciting on that front
[12:14pm] ardissone: we have a couple of new swizzling-related crashes that seem to come from the Address Book
[12:14pm] ardissone: i'm not sure if talback is being bogus or if non-Gecko code is still getting swizzled
[12:15pm] ardissone: there's also some indication that our problems with drawing buttons and such on 10.4 is not over
[12:16pm] ardissone: one firefox 3.0.6 starts accepting crashes, i'll see if i see any there
[12:17pm] ardissone: (the fix for the 10.4 bug just now made a shipping firefox)
[12:17pm] ardissone: anything else on b1?
[12:18pm] ardissone: on the 1.6.x front, murph_'s got a patch for the 10.3 opensearch bug waiting for sr
[12:18pm] ardissone: anyone have anything else on 1.6.x?
[12:20pm] ardissone: on the 2.0 front
[12:20pm] ardissone: everyone please update your nightly today
[12:20pm] ardissone: last night was the freeze for 1.9.0.7, so everything under the sun landed
[12:21pm] ardissone: that includes the Flash-keeps-playing bug, the crash-on-quit-appshell bug, and
[12:21pm] ardissone: some hackery in the print GUI to make Firefox not have a bad menu state
[12:22pm] ardissone: generally, if there are any problems for us in any of the 1907 fixes, finding them now rather than later is better
[12:23pm] ardissone: in other Gecko news, bz has a fix for the Lufthansa bug
[12:23pm] ardissone: it'll probably land March-ish
[12:24pm] ardissone: ok, on to our features
[12:24pm] ardissone: anti-phishing landed last week; yay murph_ !
[12:24pm] murph_: !
[12:25pm] murph_: two weeks ago, never would've thought I'd be dusting that off all of a sudden
[12:25pm] ardissone: on the not-so-bright side, there's a definite Ts hit even on static
[12:25pm] ardissone: 1.5% on cb-x1 and nearly 10% on minus
[12:25pm] smorgan: Are the prefs on?
[12:25pm] smorgan: i.e., are they downloading stuff?
[12:25pm] ardissone: ?
[12:25pm] ardissone: no
[12:26pm] smorgan: darn
[12:26pm] ardissone: that's just from the component and the 503 error
[12:27pm] murph_: hmm if the 503 error is occurring though, that must mean updates are enabled?
[12:27pm] ardissone: well, i'm assuming there's a 503 error
[12:27pm] ardissone: i've not seen any indication that it's visible
[12:28pm] murph_: ohh, yeah, without enabling debug logging in the JS code, it won't actually log
[12:28pm] ardissone: i can try making a local change to minus to see what happens if we send a valid id
[12:28pm] ardissone: and if we set safebrowsing to off, i suppose
[12:29pm] ardissone: but unless it's the former, ultimately we have a Ts hit that's very noticeable on PPC
[12:30pm] ardissone: so that's one of a dozen follow-ups now open on safebrowsing
[12:30pm] ardissone: pretty much all of them need to be done for 2.0
[12:30pm] ardissone: 3-4 for b2
[12:31pm] ardissone: so we've got some work to do
[12:31pm] ardissone: this is murph's 3rd major feature this release, btw, so three cheers for him!
[12:31pm] murph_: alright, well I'll make it my goal to get them all in
[12:32pm] murph_: thanks ardissone
[12:32pm] murph_: a little flashier than fixing the key view loop !
[12:32pm] ardissone: on the tabs front
[12:32pm] murph_: hehe, I should use the word flash
[12:33pm] ardissone: i think we need to give up on scroll-dragging unless someone fixes !clone
[12:33pm] ardissone: but the only major bug we've seen is that 10.4 one
[12:33pm] ardissone: which i think is waiting for sr
[12:34pm] ardissone: yeah, that's the other thing in pink's queue
[12:34pm] ardissone: we heard from jeff this weekend, mumbling something about crazies and patches
[12:35pm] ardissone: jeff: any tabsposé news?
[12:35pm] jeff: I am trying to track down those threading bugs with NSAnimation
[12:35pm] ardissone:
[12:36pm] jeff: so I am trying to allocate some time to figure that out
[12:36pm] ardissone: k
[12:36pm] jeff: maybe I should not waste time writing plugins
[12:37pm] ardissone: is it a Flash-killer that doesn't suck?
[12:38pm] jeff: haha
[12:38pm] jeff: lets stay in reality
[12:38pm] ardissone: is not sure if that was an oxymoron or not
[12:38pm] ardissone:
[12:38pm] ardissone: ok
[12:39pm] ardissone: smorgan: any breaking news on breakpad?
[12:39pm] smorgan: I started looking at the current state of the core reporter app, but not much beyond that I'm afraid
[12:39pm] smorgan: Hopefully this weekend
[12:40pm] ardissone: ok
[12:40pm] ardissone: hendy: UTF-8 and Flashblock CM updates?
[12:41pm] hendy: Flashblock CM getting closer all the time - might have a patch in a few days
[12:41pm] hendy: UTF-8 the same
[12:42pm] ardissone: ok
[12:42pm] ardissone: sounds good
[12:42pm] ardissone: ilya: post-growl holiday?
[12:42pm] ilya: am so behind on hwk...
[12:42pm] ilya: catching up
[12:43pm] ardissone:
[12:43pm] ilya: should hopefully have some free time next week
[12:43pm] ardissone: I sent cl's download prefs patch back before checkin
[12:44pm] ardissone: it needs some more work
[12:44pm] ardissone: he's also been poking his bookmarks/dock bugs again
[12:45pm] ardissone: oh, yes: philippe has a new set of icons
[12:45pm] ardissone: https://bug450542.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=359472
[12:45pm] ardissone: based on our wide-ranging commentary from last week
[12:46pm] ardissone: we liked F better last week
[12:46pm] ardissone: but I think the new C3 looks better this week :P
[12:46pm] ilya: likes F1
[12:47pm] smorgan: would ship either one
[12:48pm] smorgan: ardissone: brief tangent--bz's fix landed in CVS this morning
[12:48pm] ardissone: holy cow
[12:48pm] ardissone: ss told me yesterday 3wks :P
[12:48pm] smorgan: bz is our benevolent god
[12:49pm] ardissone: :D
[12:49pm] ardissone: awesome
[12:50pm] ardissone: missed the nightly for us, but that's great
[12:50pm] ardissone: er, on the icons
[12:50pm] ardissone: anyone have any strong objection to either?
[12:52pm] ardissone: ok, we'll find pink and let him make the final call
[12:52pm] ilya left the chat room. (Quit: ilya)
[12:52pm] ardissone: anyone have anything else on 2.0?
[12:54pm] ardissone: our 2.0 list got a bit longer last week when we moved the phishing stuff back on
[12:55pm] ardissone: the r queue is getting shorter, though that may be a function of a lack of new patches going in ;)
[12:56pm] ardissone: all in all, we had a good week last week
[12:56pm] ardissone: and Gecko's being good to us this week
[12:56pm] ardissone: so can't be too picky ;)
[12:57pm] ardissone: anyone have anything else?
[12:58pm] ardissone: ok then
[12:58pm] ardissone: everyone have a good week, catch up on homework, fix bugs, and review patches ;)
