Camino’s software update checks for updates:

• Camino running: on a timer every 24 hours of Camino uptime (Camino running and the Mac being awake)

  (e.g., on a Mac running 24/7 without sleep, with Camino running the entire time, checks will occur every 24 hours; on a Mac that is awake only 6 hours a day, with Camino running the entire time, checks will occur only once every 4 days)

• After launch: 24 hours (wall-clock) since the last check, on a timer

  (e.g., if the last check was 23 hours ago and you launch Camino, a timer is set to check in 1 hour; putting the computer to sleep or quitting Camino will pause or kill the timer, delaying the check)
