Camino works with the plugins installed with Mac OS X that support Java, QuickTime, and Shockwave Flash. It also works with plugins that conform to the Netscape standard plugin archictecture, such as the Macromedia Shockwave Player plugin (named Shockwave for Director). It could happen that you do not have a certain plugin or that the one you have is outdated. This webpage lists all the plugins you can use in Camino.

If Camino is your default web browser, webpages open in Camino when you click links in other applications, such as Mail or iChat, or when you double-click the icons of Web Internet Location files. You can select whether pages open in a new window, open in a new tab in the frontmost window, or reuse the frontmost window.

Choose Preferences from the Camino menu and go to Tabs. Here you will find all the options just mentioned.

More information on submitting forms to secure websites.

In some cases, forms you complete in Camino may be submitted in a nonsecure way to a secure website. Camino is set to display a message when this is about to happen, so you can prevent the form from being submitted if you are concerned about the security of your information.

If you don't want to see this message or if you want to change other preferences concerning security, choose Preferences from the Camino menu and click Security. The make sure that the option for showing a warning "Leaving a page that supports encrytion" is disabled.

Webpages aren't working.

If features of webpages don't seem to work, you may have turned off the use of Java, or JavaScript, or you may have set Camino to block pop-up windows.

Choose Preferences from the Camino menu and click Webfeatures. Make sure that the checkboxes to use Java, and JavaScript are selected and that the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox is not selected.
