[12:38pm] delliott: Whoops. [12:38pm] delliott: Are we still meeting? [12:39pm] smorgan: There hasn't been a meeting [12:39pm] smorgan: Sort of a "what if we had a meeting and nobody came" sort of thing [12:40pm] delliott: I've something I'd like to add to AOCB when we get there. It is to do with people having a bit of a problem with building. [12:41pm] smorgan: What's AOCB? [12:41pm] delliott: Any other competent business. [12:41pm] delliott: Or some varation on the C part of it. [12:41pm] smorgan: Since this is as much of a meeting as we are going to have today, what is it? [12:42pm] delliott: Pmorarity and jcraig seem to be having headaches when it comes to building PPC Camino. [12:43pm] delliott: jcraig was here this morning (GMT) looking for some help and Pmorarity has been having problems for a while now. [12:43pm] smorgan: Has Pmoriarty answered the question of whether it works when he's not doing distributed builds, and whether all the machines he is distributing to are set up correctly? [12:43pm] delliott: I am not sure. [12:44pm] smorgan: I'm not really worried that someone with a bizarre setup that they haven't explained to anyone can't build [12:44pm] delliott: I quite categorically said to him to strip down his build process to the bare minimum so that nothing unusual could be interfering. The distributed build query does make me wonder if he has really done that. [12:45pm] smorgan: What specifically did you want to discuss at the meeting? [12:46pm] smorgan: If we had widespread build problems, devs and/or tinderboxen would show it [12:46pm] delliott: Ok, so these are specific build problems that are probably to do with crazy configurations? [12:46pm] delliott: http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2715 was jcraig this morning. [12:46pm] smorgan: I dunno about jcraig [12:47pm] smorgan: Is jcraig's problem with a stock build, or one of his opt builds? [12:47pm] delliott: I wasn't awake to ask him. [12:47pm] smorgan: Not that I think there's much we can do about make crashing; that's pretty clearly a toolchain problem [12:48pm] smorgan: Either he is doing a build that hits a make edge case, or his machine is messed up. I and other devs and all the tinderboxen are not crashing in make [12:49pm] delliott: I'm not crashing in make either, but I just thought it might be a good idea to tell them to get with the program, or to try to understand what is going on. [12:51pm] smorgan is now known as smorgan_away. [1:04pm] ardissone|away: jcraig's has got to be his machine, since absolutely nothing has changed with CaminoViewsFramework in the last 2 years
