General Plans

  • Camino 1.6.4
    • Released last week, server held up well (static updates)
    • Talkback is broken (all 1.6.4 crashes — 383)
    • Cleaning up stuff from the website; file bugs against Product Site if you see anything.
    • Need to be more diligent about asking about IMs up-front: "I have problem x" "Do you have any input managers installed (e.g., 1Password)?" (We'll have to specifically mention 1Password, since people mostly don't know how it's implemented)
    • Be very careful asking people to test trunk nightlies, since they do irreversible profile damage.
  • Camino 1.6.5
    • Nothing yet
    • NSSpellchecker exceptions landed
  • Camino 2.0
    • Rough scoping doc at Development:Planning:Camino 2.0
      • Will retriage 2.0 list after 2.0a1
      • Anything with l10n impact should be nominated for b1 and add l10n to the whiteboard
    • Target date for Camino 2.0a1 is now
      • Frozen since Friday
        • Core approvals aren't happening
        • Nothing coming up in baking; just need relnotes before spinning
    • Anti-phishing - can't get permission :(
    • Keyboard loop - Fixed a dozen old bugs, spawned about half-dozen new ones
    • Tabsposé update -
    • Tab dragging - jeff/murph?

    • Icon work for 2.0 - need to coordinate through Sam
  • Tinderboxen
    • boxset just needed a reboot; mail is going but MoCo is not doing something with it Bug 425138
      • 2+% Ts regression while it was down
    • cb-x1 still reporting with .local hostname; need to try a reboot
    • cb-minimaya and cb-minibinus have both gone missing yet again; Bug 457284 filed to get them restored
    • cb-miniosx01 has Ts disabled due to paging/low installed RAM
  • Dev docs
    • CBSamplePane: can now build branch-compatible pane using trunk files; cl needs to address review comments
  • Weekly Bugs and Queues update
    • More bug movement this week, but r and sr queues getting full again; 2 untargeted reviews.

    • Bug 175748 - Need mechanism for creating new blank bookmarks
    • Bug 318931 - History/Bookmarks title changes but URL doesn't (maybe fixed by patch on Bug 438256?)
    • Bug 363664 - When right clicking on folder "Bookmark Info" should read "Folder Info"
  • xpfe cleanup
    • Bug 389140 gets us using the right theme files; needs r=mento
    • Bug 428333 license.html; needs r=mento
    • stefanh has a "build finishes, crashes on startup" MOZ_XUL_APP patch
