Website:Documentation Changes for 2.1

Instead of having to go through all of cb.o/support and finding what needs to be changed (ugh), this page will be an on-going list of changes that need to be made due to checkins since 1.6.

XXX need to correlate this with relnotes, since both fell behind

Hidden Prefs

• inline autocomplete refers only to history currently
• disable autocomplete?? - "browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled" to false
• DNS prefetch prefs (Bug 493474; applies only to new tab/window
• web app storage "don't ask" pref aka universally allow Bug 529918
• disabling plug-ins: "camino.disabled_plugin_names" - semicolon-delimited list of prefixes from the names exposed in about:plugins, e.g. "Flip;Shockwave Flash;Real" to disable Flip4Mac, Flash, and Real
  • happens real-time in any and all windows and tabs
• Removal of "Always use my page and link colors" from UI; flip "browser.display.use_document_colors" to false to break sites.

Bookmarks

• Update any autocomplete mentions

Privacy & Security

• May need to update for new certerror page

Find

• FAYT is currently missing; need to track the final status of that

Setup

• Update plug-in versions
• Needs new section for disabled/blocked plug-ins (URLs in Bug 626142)

Search

• search CM new tab/window change
