General Plans

  • Camino 1.6
    • Scoping
      • Most of Tab Scrolling is done, as is AppleScript (P3), but most of other "big" features not underway (at least not "publicly")
      • swupdate should be ready, but see below
      • jeff has been poking the tab dragging code; WIP on Bug 160720, plus he's working on animation
      • batwood has patches for both of his 1.6 bugs (multiple accounts needs new patch after r-)
      • murph has patches for search editor and OpenSearch (need smorgan [re]review); should have a solution to fully establish a working key-view loop throughout the browser window after that
      • ardissone has been fighting Makefiles for AppleScript feed handlers
  • Camino 1.6a1
    • When?
    • swupdate ancillary bugs (see below)
      • what of the web/server side do we need *before* a1?
      • also Ts regression, Bug 405542
    • xpt wrangling
    • nominate any major/dataloss bugs that need to be fixed for a1
    • please help out with any P1s (see query below)
  • Camino 1.5.4
    • Gecko 1.8.1.11 coming this week(?) as a post-firedrill regression fix
    • Our xpt fixes uncovered more xpt/component bugs (see Bug 402243), so xpt/component audit is a must for 1.5.4
    • Should we take the re-landed LSFileQuarantineExclusions patch (Bug 393515)?
    • Smokey and Stuart landed everything for 1.5.4 two weeks ago (except the xpt/component audit)
    • Talkback for 1.5.3
      • Generally looks similar to past weeks, but needs to be poked again
    • Still cleaning up stuff from the website switch; file bugs against Product Site if you see anything.
  • 10.5 Issues

      • Not currently possible to build PPC with gcc 3.3/10.3.9 SDK - Bug 401768 (waiting on mento to dance with the new NSPR tag in client.mk)
  • Tinderboxen
    • linear-ish T* increases on boxset (Tp, Tdhtml dropped a bit recently; Ts still rising) and maya; maya reboot helped some
    • no new news on binus
  • Weekly Bugs and Queues update
    • The review queue is still pretty ugly; we need to spread the load around better, and get to reviews requested of us in a timely fashion (about half of the r requests are older than 2 weeks).

  • Bug 201723 - Search engine editor
    • this basically needs reviews
  • Bug 185436 - Software update for release builds
    • Landed in the tree and built by default now
      • about:license bug filed Bug 403164, waiting on branch approval
    • Ts regression - Bug 405542
    • localization - Bug 401017 - will need to work something out to not build l10ns in en-only but get them to l10n teams so they don't have to re-localize
    • appcast - Bug 401474
  • In theory P1 UI bugs are all to be fixed for a1

1.5.4

  • More xpt/component goodness
  • Should we take the re-landed LSFileQuarantineExclusions patch (Bug 393515)?

  • UNCOs
    • Bug 376930 - Overflow tab menu covers whole upper right part of my screen
      • Need to find a way to "promote" this as an area we'd like user feedback on in 1.6a1
  • Trunk
    • Bug 401383, Bug 401328 - tab bleeding not fixed for Camino, caused white rectangle, too; needs someone who can do some debugging
      • smorgan's done a bit of poking here; be sure to nominate for blocking1.9? if the bug is in Core
    • Need to keep an eye on trunk regressions, determine if they're Camino-only or partly/wholly Core, and consider requesting blocking1.9? for the latter set.
    • xpfe cleanup
